Rules of the Road

Always spend MBS money as if it were your own.
Keep receipts for all reimbursable expenses.
MBS pays the current mileage rate for personal vehicle usage.
No independent contractor expenses will be paid unless there is a completed and signed "Independent Contractor Agreement".
Generally there is no allowance for buyback entertainment of bookstore personnel. Check with the MBS Rep.
Rental cars can be necessary, but are expensive. Explore other options (taxi, etc.).
Independent Contractors are responsible for insurance on rental cars through personal coverage or by purchasing the rental company's insurance, which is reimbursed by MBS.
MBS will pay for one brief phone call home to confirm arrival at your destination.
